The Solstice 100 2019

22nd June 2019 | The Pomfret Arms

Pre-Entry closed

The Solstice 100 is a single loop mountain bike/gravel bike sportive. At 100 miles in length, this is one of the longest events of it's kind that's currently running in the UK.

This year's event features yet another new route and a shorter 50 mile option. This route, around 50 percent off-road, leaves Northampton and will head to Rutland and back via the rolling countryside of East Northants and South Leicestershire. The trails will include byways, bridleways, single and doubletrack, cycle paths, forest tracks and quiet lanes. This year's highlights will include the historical Rockingham Forest area.

OS mapping, GPX files and feed stations are all included. The event HQ is located at the bike-friendly Pomfret Arms pub in Northampton where signing on takes place from 6.00am. The pub is brewing a beer for the occasion at its on-site micro-brewery and there'll be food available post ride. The entry cost is just £20 and part of the proceeds will be going to The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
